Our home is nestled in the un-incorporated MiraMonte section of the beautiful Ojai Valley. It is in a semi-rural neighborhood type setting where folks grow vegetable gardens, raise chickens, goats, and other critters. Enjoy the casual warm and inviting California vibe of this little bungalow type home. It is in close proximity to rock climbing, hiking, trail running, horseback riding, yoga studios, health and wellness centers, surfing, spas, art studios, organic farms, restaurants, and more! This two bedroom homes offers a queen size bed in each room, plenty of closet and drawer space, full use of the kitchen, wi-fi, basic cable TV, and living room access. There is one bathroom. We try to live in harmony with our environment, and the property features beautiful draught tolerant landscaping, including medicinal lavender, healing white sage and a variety of citrus trees. The house and grounds have also been blessed by our beloved native Chumash elder, Julie Tumamait-Stenslie, and Japanese Shinto Priest, Hiroji Seikiguchi. If you linger in the backyard long enough, you will notice hummingbirds whiz by, and possibly hear the call of a red tailed hawk flying overhead. There is nothing like the feel of the sun on your back as you rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach or hiking in the chaparral of the Los Padres National Forest! The art on the walls was either done by us or other artists that we know. When we are not at home, it is usually because we are at work somewhere in the world, helping with wildfire suppression efforts, or on some cool “surfari”, fly fishing, or back packing/hiking adventure! The home is located 2 blocks from the popular “Ojai Trail” which extends from downtown Ojai to the beach in Ventura. It is less than 10 minutes drive time from downtown Ojai, 10 minutes from Lake Casitas, and 20 minutes to the beaches in Ventura (including the “C Street” surf spot). Just a short drive north of Ventura is the world famous “Rincon” surf spot, and the home is about 35 minutes from the city of Santa Barbara. All are welcome who come in a good way. Please be relatively quiet, respect the space, relax and enjoy!
