Lost Creek Vineyard

This little cabin near the Summit in Upper Ojai is a place to get away from the demands of the city. We bought this hidden gem in 2013 and completely remodeled it: new baths, kitchen, windows, extensive millwork, new electrical, air conditioner and heater, new deck and back patio. We decided to keep its simplicity because we long to return to simpler times, where you can live close to nature, drink water from a well, breath fresh and clean air and pick a peach from a tree.

Live the Ojai experience by immersing and finding yourself in a Zen like setting underneath majestic oak trees, by listening to the sounds of farm animals nearby or enjoying the gorgeous view of the sunset overlooking a newly planted vineyard. Sip your coffee on the front deck to start your day or enjoy a glass of wine on the kitchen patio and watch the sunset to finish off your perfect get away weekend. Slip out the front gate and disappear into the National Forest, which is steps away from the house and explore however far your heart desires. This retreat will certainly help you slow down, clear your mind, and restore your energy to face whatever you find back at home. When hunger stirs you can either prepare a gourmet dinner right in the kitchen, or drive into Ojai, which is about 8 miles away, where you will find an abundance of restaurants.

The house is in upper Ojai nestled at the end of a private country road, steps away from the National Forest, which offers a multitude of hiking and biking trails. It is part of a community of eclectic, creative people from all over the world, who share their love of nature and enjoy the peace and quiet the area offers. Sisar Road is halfway between Santa Paula and Ojai with all its stores and attractions. If you find yourself short of supplies and if you don’t want to go into town, you have a convenience store near the entrance of the street.
